Within the past few months two people have been featured in the Macon County Times that not only live here in Macon County, but have turned their love for music into a way to turn life around for themselves. It has been this love for music and faith in God that has transformed them both.
Josh Wilson and Tiff Bradley both attended the Recovery Revival in Lebanon, Tennessee Saturday, March 2, and it was an event for the record books.
“I went to the Recovery Revival thinking I was going to hear good Christian music,” said Bradley. “I had no idea I was going to get my cup filled, but I definitely did. I’ve been praying about getting baptized for awhile now, so when they were doing baptisms, I looked over at my sponsor and best friend, Shantell, and I knew that’s what I needed to do. When I came out of the water it was the most free feeling.”
Bradley is a writer and rapper and went to the event to see and hear fellow musicians in the hope of performing her own music soon.
Veteran Christian musician Josh Wilson had an experience not unlike Bradley’s.
“Last night was an experience that I’ll never forget,” said Wilson. “It was so powerful that the anointing is jumping off of every picture taken last night. God put his super on all of our natural. From that night, we learned that we will be heading to the Objective event in May 16-19 2024 to learn more about the industry and meet and connect with new people.”
Wilson explains that the May event will be a huge opportunity for artists to perform with some big names in the music industry.
“There will be an opportunity to be part of the Extreme Tour,” said Wilson. “Everyone everywhere needs to have an encounter with Jesus like what took place in Lebanon at Recovery Revival. The Lord has been tugging at my heart to do something like this here in Lafayette. Me and Tiff feel that it’s only right to give back to our community to help others in need. To help them let go of religion and find a real relationship with God. Things are just getting started.”
Wilson says he wants to send a simple but powerful message.
“You are loved and the harvest is plenty, but the workers are few.”
