The Macon County Tigers football team capped off its historic 2024-2025 season with a night of celebration and reflection at their annual football banquet, held last Friday evening in front of a packed house of players, coaches, families and community supporters.
The banquet marked the culmination of the most successful football season in school history, as the Tigers were honored for capturing the TSSAA Class 4A state championship—a first for the program.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the state championship rings, a sparkling symbol of the team’s hard-earned triumph. Each player, coach, and staff member were called to the stage to receive their ring, with thunderous applause from the crowd echoing the pride felt throughout Macon County.
The banquet also served as a time to recognize individual achievements, especially among the senior class, whose leadership played a crucial role in the team’s championship journey. Several standout players received special honors:
Coach Dean Fisher Award- Braylon Flowers & Luke Gammon
Tony Woosley Award- Gabe Borders
Jimmy Glover Award-Zach Borders
As the night concluded, players posed for photos, admired their rings, and shared memories that will last a lifetime. The banquet was more than a ceremony—it was a celebration of history made and a future filled with promise.
