Mazelle Vinson Newberry, age 89, of Red Boiling Springs, TN passed away Saturday afternoon, December 15, 2012 at the Macon County General Hospital in Lafayette. Funeral Services for Mazelle Vinson Newberry were conducted Tuesday afternoon, December 18, 2012 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs with Elder Floyd Ferguson officiating. Interment followed in the Smith Chapel Cemetery. Her family served as pallbearers.

Mazelle was born Tuesday, March 13, 1923, one of ten siblings born to the late Sid and Gossie Crabtree Vinson. On November 12, 1939, she married Sherman Newberry who preceded her in death on April 3, 1996. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Sherman Newberry, Jr., sisters, Lorell Green, Pernell Cross, Imogene Allen and brother, Leslie Gray Vinson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Cedar Bluff Missionary Baptist Church.

Gregory, Red Boiling Springs, Sisters, Joe Proffitt, Chapel Hill, TN, Irene Denton and husband Floyd, Batesville, AR, Brothers, Donald Vinson and wife Jean, Clinton, OH, Doyle Vinson and wife Pat, Murfreesboro, TN, Dowl Vinson, Smyrna, TN, 5 Grandchildren, Melinda Gregory, Mt. Juliet, TN, Dawn (Chad) Randall, Rockvale, TN, Shelly (Dean) Kempell, Wadsworth, OH, Eddie Newberry, Akron, OH, Larry Wilson, Lafayette, TN and 5 Great-Grandchildren, Kyle, Kole and Kenna Kempell, Miranda and Rylan Randall.
