Joan Smalling Knight, age 58 of Red Boiling Springs, TN passed away Thursday morning, December 6, 2012 at the Macon County General Hospital in Lafayette. Funeral Services for Joan Smalling Knight were conducted Saturday afternoon, December 8, 2012 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs with Brother Neel Smith officiating. Interment followed in the Whitley Cemetery. Her friends and family served as pallbearers.

Joan was born Tuesday, July 20, 1954 in Macon County, TN, the daughter of the late Roy and Betty Jane Crague Smalling. On October 15, 1984, she married Larry Knight, who survives. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Kathy Kreutzer and brothers, Charles and Jimmy Smalling. She was a former employee with Salga Plastics in Gallatin, TN with 14 years of service and a member of the Red Boiling Springs First Baptist Church.
