Darrell W. Rich, age 41 of Hermitage Springs Community in Clay County, TN passed away Thursday evening, March 7, 2013 at the Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN. Funeral Services for Darrell W. Rich were conducted Tuesday afternoon, March 7, 2013 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN with Dale Strong officiating. Interment followed in the Haysville Cemetery. His family and friends served as pallbearers.
Darrell was born Saturday, January 1, 1972 in Macon County, Tennessee, the son of Jerry Rich of Hermitage Springs Community and the late Nyoka R. Steen Rich. In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Charlie W. Rich, maternal grandmother, Gertie B. Steen, maternal grandfather, John W. Steen, and uncle, Kenneth R. Steen. He attended Tennessee Technology Center at Hartsville for 2 years and became a welder. Darrell attended the Pine Hill Church of Christ.
Survivors besides his father, Jerry include: step-mother, Brenda Rich, Hermitage Springs Community, paternal grandmother, Edith C. Rich, Mt. Vernon Community, sister, Michelle D. Rich, Lafayette, brother, Timmothy Rich and wife, Jacqui of Westmoreland, step-brothers, Phil and Clark Reeves, Indianapolis, IN, aunts, Rose Anna Steen, Indianapolis, IN, Rose Ellen Rich, Mt. Vernon Community, uncle, Terry W. Steen, Lafayette, niece, Elyssa Mae Rich, Westmoreland.
