James Alvie Ford was born in Little River, Arkansas on October 6, 1937 to the late George Washington Ford and Mabel Fraze Ford. He was one of eleven siblings born to this union.

Besides his parents; brothers, George Thomas Ford, David William Ford, Roger Dale Ford, Bobby Lee Ford, and Jacky Edward Ford, Sisters, Betty Jo Lindsey, and Louise Ford, also preceded James in death.

James had special needs that kept him from going to school or marrying, but he still enjoyed life to the fullest.

James loved coloring in his coloring books, and being outdoors mowing and helping around the yard. He liked to sit and watch television and drink “Dr. Pepper”. James also enjoyed going to Church.

He loved his family and was very protective of his brother, Donald. James was a loving man that stole everyone’s heart, and made everyone laugh.

On December 28, 2012, the Lord called James home. He will be greatly missed down here by his family and many friends, but our loss is Heaven’s gain.

A Graveside service for James Alvie Ford will be conducted Thursday at 2 pm from the Ashdown Cemetery in Ashdown, AK. Interment will follow.

James is survived by; Brother, Donald Ford of Lafayette, TN, Sisters, Mary Ellen King of Ashdown, AK, Elizabeth Ann (Charles) Taylor of Texarkana, AK, Sister-in-law, Patricia (Tommy) Prater of Lafayette, TN, Charlsie Ann Ford of Wilton, AK, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews also survive.
