City of Lafayette Council Meeting

Tuesday, Aug. 3

7 p.m.

Old Business:

1.) Dispense with the reading of the July 6, 2010 council meeting minutes.

2.) Adopt minutes of the July 6, 2010 council meeting.

3.) Adopt Ordinance 583 (An ordinance adopted pursuant to private act charter 1945, chapter 325, for the purpose of amending the City of Lafayette Municipal code regulating development within the corporate limits of Lafayette, to minimize danger to life and property due to flooding) on second reading.

4.) Adopt Ordinance 584 (an ordinance amending Title 10, “Offenses-Miscellaneous”, Chapter, “Enumerated”, Section 237, “Charges for Court Costs” of the Lafayette Municipal Code) on second reading.

5.) Approve bid for T-Hanger construction.

6.) Approve bid for a street department dump truck.

7.) Approve bid for office server and computers.

New business:

8.) Adopt resolution No. 08-03-10-A (a resolution calling for a public hearing to determine whether certain property should be annexed to the Lafayette City limits).

9.) Adopt resolution No. 08-03-10-B (a resolution calling for a public hearing on the plan of service proposed for annexation).

10.) Authorization for Mayor Carter to sign the airport maintenance grant documents, $26,000 grant, city’s portion will be $13,000.

11.) Approve August annual employee evaluations and salary increases.

12.) Accept Randall Ferguson’s letter of retirement, last day September 17, 2010, retirement effective, March 31, 2011.

13.) Authorization to advertise for bids for 2011 fiscal year city streets paving.

14.) Authorization to advertise for bids for five patrol cars.

15.) Approve to reschedule the September council meeting to Sept. 14, 2010 at 7 p.m.
