Hello everybody from Golden Oaks. Proud to be back and try to write my news column. When I have people tell me I enjoy your news also your recipes, it makes me so proud. At my age, it’s so nice that some people will give seniors a chance to enjoy life. As they say, stay young and healthy longer.

On Sunday morning was just beautiful. It was hot. That was fine. Residents were out just as always walking visiting family and friends.

At this time, Connie Gann and Golden Oaks residents would like to welcome Lura Gail Lankford to Golden Oaks.

Lucie Dubuc has returned home from the hospital. We wish her the best. Proud to have her back home. Take Care.

At this time Connie Gann and Golden Oaks residents were sorry that Virginia Holland’s son Danny Holland had passed away. Our sympathy goes out to the family.

Connie Gann and Golden Oaks residents would like to tell Leigh how much we appreciate the good food.

Have a great week.

One Wednesday, it came a hard rain also quick. Rained 2 1/2 inches here in the village on Thursday. It rained 1 inch. Everything looks so pretty. When you drive around the courthouse slow down and look how pretty. The flowers are also out at the 4-way stop. Also pretty.

Most all Macon County people like pretty flowers most of all good food. Then to good friends.

The weather is so how most residents stay inside and stay cool also eat good food and talk on the phone also clean house look at family pictures of now and away back when. It makes us to just won’t to keep on going. We have something to think good times with family. Our good memory keeps us going.

At this time, I would like to say hello to Tammy Marlow that one time worked at Macon County Times. I think of you often, wonder how you are doing. You were always so nice to me. When I would be down some time. When I talked to you, you always made my day a better day. Hope you are fine and that life is good take care.

Easter Conley has returned back home from a nice vacation. Hope she enjoyed the time. Proud to see her back at Golden Oaks. Have a nice week.

Last week, Vickie Rigsby was not feeling well. Hope she will get better. She is a nice lady. Always with a smile. Have a great week.

I think I will say good night and get my flowers watered. it’s hard to keep them enough water as it’s so hot.

I wish all the sick will have a better week and to all the ones that’s not happy will find a way to make the week better. Be thankful for the things you have! Don’t forget to tell your children how much you love them. I always tell my grandchildren how much I loved them.

Wish everybody a great week. Stay cool.
