James Allen Brown, age 69 of Lafayette, Tennessee, passed away peacefully, June 4, 2010 at Westmoreland Care and Rehab. Funeral services for James Allen Brown were conducted Sunday, June 6, 2010 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Elder David Spears officiating. Mark Brown, Stacy Brown, Danny Brown, Drew Brown, William McCathran, and John Dant served as Pallbearers. Interment followed in the Macon County Memorial Gardens.

He was born in Davidson County, Tennessee on March 24, 1941 to Myrtle Louise Draper Brown and the late Cordell Brown. Besides his father; two grandsons, Mark Aaron Brown and Owen James Brown, also preceded him in death.

He served in the United States Army and was a carpenter by trade. James was saved in 1974 at Hartsville Missionary Baptist Church. James was a father and grandfather that loved his family deeply. His keen sense of humor, intelligence, and love for the Lord will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

James is lovingly survived by; mother, Ms. Myrtle Louise Draper Brown of Hendersonville, TN, sons, Mark and wife Lauren Brown of Lafayette, TN, James Stacy and wife Chasity Brown of Glasgow, KY, and Daniel Brown of Nashville, TN, grandchildren, Stacy Andrew Brown, Brendan Keegan Brown, Zoee Aiyana Brown, and Chloe Jaidyn Brown, brothers, Benny Lee and wife Connie Brown of Cottontown, TN, and Michael Brown of Nashville, TN, sisters, JoAnn and husband Benny Elliott-Vigil of Gallatin, TN, Liz and husband Dr. Brad Hagan of Gallatin, TN, Linda Lewis of Goodlettsville, TN, Brenda Sue and Husband Glen of Portland, TN: also survive.
