City of Lafayette Council Meeting

Old Business:

1.) Dispense with the reading of the May 4, 2010 council meeting minutes.

2.) Adopt minutes of the May 4, 2010 council meeting.

3.) Ordinance No. 578 (an ordinance amending chapter 4, General Provision Section 11, Subsection 10, vehicular access control, of the Municipal Code) on third and final reading.

4.) Adopt Ordinance No. 579 (an Ordinance to amend the official zoning map to rezone property owned by Wanda Jones, from R-1 to C-3, property located on Hwy. 52 By Pass W.) on second reading.

5.) Adopt Ordinance No. 580 (2010/2011 budget) on second reading.

6.) Adopt Ordinance No. 581 (Budget Amendment for Street and Sewer Dept.) on second reading.

7.) Adopt Ordinance No. 582 (Tax Rate) on second reading.

New Business

8.) Elect a Vice-Mayor.

9.) Annual write-offs for uncollectible utility accounts, totaling $15,016.70.

10.) Authorization to sign the agreement for architectural services with Collaborative Studio, fees agreement to complete the scope of services scheduled in this agreement will be billed as 9% of the project cost (the council chamber project).

11.) Authorization to sign an airport FBO lease with CKC Adventures LLC (Jerry Cherry).

12.) Approve June annual employee evaluations and salary increases, those are as follows: Jerry Dallas, Police (Hire date: 6/18/76), Jason Roberts, Police (6/14/02), Arlene Presley (6/20/00), Steve Speck, Street/Park (6/03/03), Don Stevens, Fire (6/27/94), Todd Wagoner, PT. Fire, (6/01/04), Keith Tillman, Police (6/4/99), Tim Hunter, Water (6/18/07).

13.) Authorization to change Steve Key’s employment status from part-time to full-time, level VII at $17.25 per hour.

14.) Approve hiring Jane McDuffey as part-time dispatcher.

15.) Authorization to release the city hall cleaning contract with Mrs. Clean and contract with the next lowest bidder, Elizabeth’s Cleaning at $185.00 per week, effective June 14, 2010.
