Marjorie Cletas “Margie” McDonald, age 82, of Fountain Run, KY, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2010 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. Funeral Services for Marjorie McDonald were held on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. from the Hughes Funeral Chapel in Fountain Run, KY with Brother Terry Brooks and Reverend Charles Disman officiating. Jason Quigley, Matt Quigley, Todd Pruitt, Greg Lawson, Steve Pruitt, Wayne Todd, and Jimmy Goodman served as Pallbearers. Interment followed in the Fountain Run Cemetery. A native of Barren County, KY, Marjorie was one of four siblings born to the late Paul and Olean (Crabtree) Lawson. She was married to Bill Dossey in 1950, who preceded her in death in 1969 and married to Ray McDonald in 1973, who preceded her in death in 1986. In addition to her parents and husbands, a brother, Maxie Lawson preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and had worked in her earlier years at the Allen County Hospital in the Nursing Department. She was a member of the Fountain Run Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by brother, Shelby (Janice) Lawson of Fountain Run, KY, sister, Shirley Pruitt of Glasgow, KY, 5 nieces and nephews, and 6 great-nieces and nephews. The family requests memorials in the form of donations be given to the Fountain Run Fire Department.
