The bust at 122 Annie Hollow Road was led by Dep. Donnie Crawford and his K-9 partner Rock.
Assisting in the bust were Detectives Darrell Taylor and Anthony Warner.
Arrested and charged with three counts was Wanda Winslette.
Winslette, born in 1973, was charged with possession of a schedule six narcotic over a half-ounce, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of a weapon.
Bond was set at $3,000 with a court date scheduled for April 28 at 1 p.m.
“It’s good anytime we can get illegal narcotics and illegal weapons off the streets and keep them out of the hands of kids,” Crawford said. “Whenever there are kids involved, if this stuff is around, 99.9 percent of the time the kids are going to be involved as well.”
Authorities arrived at the residence to assist a caseworker from the Department of Children’s Services.
While inside the residence, Crawford said he noticed some pill bottles sitting around inside.
Crawford picked up the first pill bottle and found marijuana seeds inside.
The second pill bottle contained 25 rolled marijuana cigarettes, commonly referred to as “joints.”
Authorities were advised that there might be an illegal weapon somewhere inside the residence. A sawed-off shotgun was located in a dresser drawer in the master bedroom.
At that point, Crawford said authorities advised Mr. and Mrs. Winslette of what they had recovered inside. Crawford said Mr. Winslette was asked if there was anything else in the house.
Authorities were then advised that there was a small bag of marijuana in the bathroom.
A jewelry box on a dresser in the bedroom contained marijuana roaches and drug paraphernalia.
An investigation against Mr. Winslette is ongoing, Crawford said.
