A one-vehicle automobile accident shortly before 3 o’clock Wednesday afternoon forced local officials to divert southbound traffic on Highway 10 from the four-way stop at Highways 10 and 52.

Traffic was affected for roughly 30 minutes as law enforcement and emergency officials tended to the accident on the Highway 10 hill.

A four-door Suzuki driven by Karen Snyder had veered off the west side of the road as it traveled southbound on Highway 10.

Snyder, 45, was put in the back of an ambulance with non-serious injuries. She had complained of a sore neck to emergency responders.

The wreck caused little to no new damage to the vehicle.

Tennessee Highway Patrol Sergeant Ashley Mercer investigated the accident.
