HS basketball: RBS, MCHS girls' teams advance to region finals

Both of the county's high school girls' basketball teams -- Red Boiling Springs and Macon County -- advanced Monday night to the championship games of their respective region tournaments.

In a Region 4-A semifinal game, Red Boiling Springs beat Clarkrange 46-44.

In a Region 5-AA semifinal game, Macon County beat East Literature 54-50 in overtime.
