On February 5th, the Lady Bulldogs traveled to Pickett County to play the Bobcats. The Lady Bulldogs fell short by only four points as Pickett County won by a final score of 54-50. The boys team played next and posted up 45 points, but the Bobcats were able to outscore them by nine points to give Pickett County the 54-45 victory.
The next day the Red Boiling Springs hosted the Watertown Purple Tigers were they experienced much better success at home. The girls tipped-off first and had little trouble taming the Purple Tigers as they enjoyed a comfortable twelve-point lead, cruising to a 57-45 victory. The Bulldogs experienced similar success as they too were able to hold off the Tigers in a close game. The Bulldogs won by a final score of 37-35.
After Saturday’s scores, the Lady Bulldogs improve their record to 19-7 overall and a solid 5-1 record in the district, trailing only to Friendship Christian. The Red Boiling Springs Bulldogs improve their record to 15-11 overall this season with a 3-3 district record.
