The Red Boiling Springs High School basketball team had a busy weekend as they played two games, one on February 5th and the other the next day on the 6th.

On February 5th, the Lady Bulldogs traveled to Pickett County to play the Bobcats. The Lady Bulldogs fell short by only four points as Pickett County won by a final score of 54-50. The boys team played next and posted up 45 points, but the Bobcats were able to outscore them by nine points to give Pickett County the 54-45 victory.

The next day the Red Boiling Springs hosted the Watertown Purple Tigers were they experienced much better success at home. The girls tipped-off first and had little trouble taming the Purple Tigers as they enjoyed a comfortable twelve-point lead, cruising to a 57-45 victory. The Bulldogs experienced similar success as they too were able to hold off the Tigers in a close game. The Bulldogs won by a final score of 37-35.

After Saturday’s scores, the Lady Bulldogs improve their record to 19-7 overall and a solid 5-1 record in the district, trailing only to Friendship Christian. The Red Boiling Springs Bulldogs improve their record to 15-11 overall this season with a 3-3 district record.
