The City of Lafayette Council meets tonight at 7 p.m. Here’s the agenda:

Old Business:

1.) Dispense with the reading of the January 5, 2010 council meeting minutes.

2.) Adopt minutes of the January 5, 2010 council meeting minutes.

3.) Dispense with the reading of the January 21, 2010 council meeting minutes.

4.) Adopt minutes of the January 21, 2010 council meeting minutes.

5.) Adopt Ordinance No. 574 (an ordinance to annex properties and to incorporate same within the corporate boundary of the City of Lafayette, property belonging to Richard Freeman) on third and final reading.

6.) Ordinance 575 (an Ordinance to amend the official zoning map of Lafayette, rezoning from R-1 Low Density Residential to C-1 Local Business, the Scotty Keene property located on Fountain Rd.) on second reading.

New Business

7.) Adopt Resolution 02-02-2010A (A resolution adopting a plan of service for the annexation of approximately 1.8 acres, owned by Richard Freeman).

8.) Adopt Resolution 02-02-2010B (A resolution calling for a public hearing on the zoning classification for the proposed Richard Freeman property annexation).

9.) Authorization to pay a Professional Engineering invoice for final stage of CDBG sewer project.

10.) Approve additional $200,000.00, 90/10% TDOT grant, for excavation tied to the airport t-hanger project.

11.) Approve February annual employee evaluations and salary increases, evaluations are as follows: Jeremy Keene, Wastewater (Hire date: Feb. 2, 1999); Michael Hackett, Wastewater (Hire date: Feb. 19, 2003).

12.) Approve Carolyn Bolton promotion to Water Department Assistant Superintendent, at Level 9, with a 5% salary increase, effective Febuary 8, 2010.

13.) Authorization to allow Keith Tillman to rent the concession stand outside the pool area.
