Stolen property recovered in Monroe County, Ky.
The Macon County Sheriff’s Office has recovered an estimated $50,000 in stolen property, Sheriff Mark Gammons announced Friday.

The stolen property was recovered in Monroe County, Ky., early Friday morning with the help of Kentucky State Police.

Joshua Crowe, who is in his mid-20s, was arrested and is being held at the Monroe County Jail, Gammons said. Charges are pending from various law enforcement agencies.

Much of the stolen property is believed to have been taken in a string of burglaries on the east side of Macon County in November and December.

Some of the recovered property likely was stolen from Clay County, Gammons said.

Jeff Brewer led the investigation for the MCSO and worked closely with Kentucky authorities, Gammons said.

More details online and in the Feb. 4 edition of the Times.
