Old Business:

1. Ordinance 573 to create a waste water treatment plant licensed equipment operator job description level 7 passed on third and final reading.

2. Ordinance 574 to annex properties belonging to Richard Freeman and incorporate them withing the boundary fo the City of Lafayette passed on second reading.

3. A bid from J and C Cleaning Service to provide janitorial services to the police station

at $140 a week passed.

New Business:

Resolutions carried:

1. Macon County Emergency Communications Resolution

2. A resolution authorizing the application for Community Block Sewer Grant Funds.

3. A resolution to apply to the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Block Grant Funds

Personnel:

1. Jeff Halliburton was appointed Water Department Superintendent, Level 10, effective Jan. 9

2. Phillip Smith was given full-time employment as fireman from part-time employment

3. Michael Bransford and Michael Duffer were both approved for hire as part-time firemen, level 6

4. Johnny Woosley was appointed to another two-year term to the Regional Transportation Planning Organization (RTPO) Committee

5. January employee evaluations were approved.

6. Wanda Smith was made a volunteer at the airport, with mileage reimbursement provided
