RBS calls special meeting for Tuesday night

A special called meeting of the City Council of Red Boiling Springs will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at City Hall.

According to a letter dated December 23 and signed by Mayor Kenneth Hollis, and delivered to all six councilmen by police officer Jacob Jordan, the purpose of the meeting is as follows:

First, to adopt ordinance No. 09-6, to increase the garbage rate for commercial/daily customers, on first reading.

Second, to hire a certified police officer.

Third, to discuss repair costs for an old backhoe and to accept or decline fixing the backhoe.

Fourth, to discuss prices for a salt spreader and accept or decline to purchase.
