Last Monday, The MCJHS Girls team hosted the Red Boiling Springs Lady Bulldogs in a game that was decided by only seven points. In the first quarter, Red Boiling Springs jumped off to an early lead 8-4. But three Tigerettes posted up fifteen points in the second quarter to give them a 19-15 lead going into half-time. The Tigerettes scored eleven more points, and the Lady Bulldogs score seven points as well, increasing the Tigerettes lead to 30-22 with only one quarter to play in regulation. The Tigerettes only scored three points in the fourth, but were able to hold on to the lead as Red Boiling Springs scored four points, making the final score in this one 33-26. Congratulations to both teams. For the Red Boiling Springs Lady Bulldogs, leading scorer was Kelsey Jekins with 8 points, then Mayson Burgener with 7 points, followed by Ashlyn Murphy with 6 points. Also scoring was Savanna Green with 3 points and Mikayla Sexton with 2 points. Scoring for the Tigerettes were Loren White with 9 points, Reese Shrum with 9 points also,Briley Driver with 8 points, Leah Anderson with 4 points and Macy Kemp scoring 3 points. Again, great job to both teams and good luck with the rest of this season.
