Nolian Gosnell Franklin, age 91, of Austin, KY, passed away Monday evening November 2, 2009 at her daughter’s home on Bradshaw Rd in Austin, KY. Funeral Services for Nolian Gosnell Franklin were conducted on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hughes Funeral Chapel in Fountain Run, KY with brother Terrell Kingery officiating. Interment followed in the Pleasant Home Cemetery in Barren County, KY. Bruce Jones, Jay Jones, Chuck Jones, Frank Bradshaw, Don Bradshaw and Steve Ritter served as pallbearers. Nolian was born November 19, 1917 in Barren County, KY, one of six children born to the late Virgil and Lillie (Carver) Gosnell. She married her husband, Edgar Franklin, on December 24, 1938, who preceded her in death July 19, 1956, other than her parents and husband her daughter, Patricia Franklin, brothers, Buster & Dell Gosnell and sister, Avo Swan preceded her in death. She was a loving mother, homemaker, enjoyed quilting and was a member of the Pleasant Home Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Doris (Bob) King, grandson, Tim King and his wife, Susan all of Austin, KY, granddaughter, Karen Long and her husband, Randy, great-granddaughter Brandi Hartman and her husband, Brandon and great-great-grandson, Lincoln Hartman all of Lafayette, TN, and sisters, Juanita (Jim) Wyatt and Ruby (Harvey) Davis all of Louisville, KY. The family requests memorial contributions made to the Pleasant Home Cemetery.
