The Macon County Committee of the Whole met Monday, March 4, 2013 at 6:00 pm.

The following Commissioners were present: Cathy White, Chris Wix, Kenneth Whitte, Jeff Hughes, Todd Doss, Phillip Snow, Scott Gammons, Jerry Ray, Larry Tucker, Michelle Phillips, Bryan Carter, Tony Boles, Anthony Bullington, Ron Morey, Ronnie McDuffee, Helen Hesson, Wendell Jones, Dewayne Whittemore, Benton Bartley, Rosetta Driver.

Minutes were as follows

Motion #1 by Ray, 2^nd by Witte to approve minutes as presented from the 2/25/13 Legislative Body Meeting, 2/12/13 Joint Economic Community Development Meeting, 11/20/12 Planning Meeting and defer to the next meeting. Motion carried.

Motion #2 by Boles, 2^nd by Gammons to approve Budget Amendments #1 and #2 – Sheriff Department and #3 Administration of the Sex Offender Program and defer to the next meeting. Motion carried on roll call.

Motion #3 by Ray, 2^nd by Whittemore to approve Budget Amendments #4-Library and defer to the next meeting. Motion carried on roll call.

Motion #4 by Witte, 2^nd by Gammons to purchase 2 –2013 Ford Police Interceptor Sedans at a cost of $24,988 each and finance with the school note and pay vehicle note off as soon as possible and defer to the next meeting. Motion carried on roll call.

Motion #5 by Gammons, 2^nd by Bartley to reject the request from some Oakdale Road residents to reduce the speed limit to 35 mph and defer to the next meeting.

Motion #6 by Gammons, 2^nd by C. Wix to request that the Macon County Fair Board present a more complete and detailed financial statement to including all revenues and all expenses for the entire year with beginning and ending cash balances included and a Fair Board member be present to explain at the 3/18 meeting and defer to the next meeting. Motion carried.

Motion #7 by Morey, 2^nd by Witte to leave the Committee of the Whole Meeting and Legislative Body meeting at 6:00 p.m. and defer to next meeting. Motion failed on roll call.

Motion #8 by Morey to reduce the number of Commissioner Meetings from two per month to one per month. Motion died due to lack of a second.

Motion #9 by Whittemore, 2^nd Boles to adjourn. Motion carried.
