Kenneth “Pug” York, age 58, of Red Boiling Springs, TN, passed away Tuesday morning, December 25, 2012 at his residence. Funeral Services for Kenneth “Pug” York were conducted Thursday afternoon, December 27, 2012 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs with Brother Tim White officiating. Interment followed in the Whitley Cemetery. His pallbearers were the members of the Red Boiling Springs Fire Department.

Pug was born Friday July 30, 1954 in Macon County, Tennessee, the son of the late Jewell York and Etta Rice York Atkins. He was a sawmill worker, logger and a member of the Red Boiling Springs Fire Department.

Survivors include: sister, Becky (Chris) Hix, brothers, Jewell Ray York, Gary (Evie) York, Larry York and Sammy Joe Atkins, step-father, Sammie Atkins all of Red Boiling Springs, a host of nieces and nephews.
