Mr. Dewene Donoho, of the Russell Hill Community, died at 1:35 p.m. Thursday afternoon, December 13, 2012 in the ER of Riverview Regional Medical Center following an extended period of declining health. He was 75.

Services were conducted Sunday afternoon December 16th at 3:00 p.m. from the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home with his brother-in-law Eld. Charles Jones officiating. Interment followed in the Pleasant Shade Cemetery.

Born Charles Dewene Donoho in the Steam Mill Hollow in Macon County on October 4, 1937, he was one of five children of the late Estes Lee & Hilda Lane Owens Donoho.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ricky Donoho who died as an infant, and Ed Donoho.

On May 18, 1957 in Macon County, he was united in marriage to the former Mai Dean Jones, a Russell Hill Community native, who survives.

Mr. Donoho was a member of the Class of 1957 at Red Boiling Springs High School and worked in building Kimball Pianos at the Lafayette Manufacturing Company for 37 years until his retirement.

He was a former Boy Scout Scoutmaster for the Pleasant Shade troop.

He attended the Pleasant Shade Upper Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he was saved.

Surviving in addition to his wife of over 55 years are two children, Jennifer Donoho of Lafayette, Jerome Donoho & wife Kelly of Tanglewood; a sister, JoAnn Goodman & husband Randall of Lafayette; a brother, Dickie Donoho of Lafayette; granddaughters, Kelsey, Katie, and Maizey Donoho.
