A mobile home on the west side of Macon County went up in flames early Wednesday morning.

The fire was seen and called in just before 8:00 AM. Units from both the Lafayette Fire Department and the East Allen County Fire Department worked for about an hour to get flames under control, and then continued to address spot fires throughout the morning.

The single-wide mobile home with an addition on the back was located in a small neighborhood on Brandi Lane, just off of Scottsville Road. It belonged to one Stephanie Senters, who was not at home when the fire was sighted. No one else was apparently in the home at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was unknown as of late Wednesday morning.
