Joan Devon Porter of Lebanon was born February 13, 1949 in Macon County. She passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at her residence.

Preceded in death by: father, Vernon Brooks; step-father, Estes J. R. Knight. Survived by mother, Jean F. Knight of Castalian Springs; husband, Paul B. Porter; son, Brad J. (Regina) Moss of Lebanon; daughter, Mandi (David) Walden of Lebanon; siblings, Joel (Joanne) Brooks and Steve (Nancy) Brooks both of Gallatin; step-brother, Kenneth (Sheryl) Knight; grandchildren, Kelly Davis and Kristen Moss both of Smiths Station, AL., Slayer, Stelth, and Striker Moss of Lebanon and Isabel and Sam Walden of Lebanon; and several nieces.

Mrs. Porter was a Lebanon High School graduate, a secretary, bookkeeper, and part owner for Estes Knight Marble Co., and a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2012 from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel . Funeral services will be on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 1 p.m. in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church with visitation from 11a.m. til service. Bro. Kevin Medlin will officiate and interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
