Joan Devon Porter of Lebanon was born February 13, 1949 in Macon County. She passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at her residence.

Preceded in death by: father, Vernon Brooks; step-father, Estes J. R. Knight. Survived by mother, Jean F. Knight of Castalian Springs; husband, Paul B. Porter; son, Brad J. (Regina) Moss of Lebanon; daughter, Mandi (David) Walden of Lebanon; siblings, Joel (Joanne) Brooks and Steve (Nancy) Brooks both of Gallatin; step-brother, Kenneth (Sheryl) Knight; grandchildren, Kelly Davis and Kristen Moss both of Smiths Station, AL., Slayer, Stelth, and Striker Moss of Lebanon and Isabel and Sam Walden of Lebanon; and several nieces.

Mrs. Porter was a Lebanon High School graduate, a secretary, bookkeeper, and part owner for Estes Knight Marble Co., and a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2012 from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel . Funeral services will be on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 1 p.m. in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church with visitation from 11a.m. til service. Bro. Kevin Medlin will officiate and interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers, James Ray Gregory, Steve Brooks, Jason Ford, Joel Brooks, Billy Shrum, and Jason Kopp. Honorary Pallbearers, Jennifer Hendrixson, Dr. Eric Rafesky and staff, Jerry Taylor, Libby Taylor, Gwen Simms, Pam Hunt and Roy D. Alexander.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society and Cumberland Presbyterian Church 522 Castle Heights Ave. Lebanon, TN 37087.
