I thought we had a good start to the match but quickly realized the defensive line of the silver team wasn’t going to make it easy for us today. By effectively eliminating space in our attacking third, they forced us to shoot from further out giving them the upper hand. I did see good passing and good positioning for a lot of the players today though. Time to dust ourselves off and look forward to next week’s match.” Scoring for silver was Mayson Shrum with two goals, Frank Hernandez with one goal, and Sebastian Brawner with one goal. Coach Grant said “Today’s game was a wonderful team effort. We had a great effort on the offensive side of the ball but what really propelled us to victory was the defensive maelstrom we were able to generate. I am very proud of our team!”

The noon match featured the black team of Brian Carter taking on the kelly green team of Steve Dell’Aquila. The final score was an 8-4 win for the black team.
