The Lafayette Lions and Lioness Club is hosting its 16th annual Radio Auction this Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, Oct 15-17. The event typically raises between $10,000 and $12,000, and is designed to benefit both clubs.
Here’s how it works: the local radio station, WLCT. 102.1 FM, will be hosting the auction between 6:00 and 10:00 PM. All items are donated by local merchants, and will be auctioned by number, so that in order to bid, you will call Citizens Bank at 666-2195 and have the item number handy.
Items, according to event organizer Chris Phillips, include a couple of laptops, a recliner, some country hams, a vacation trip package (TBA), collecter coin sets, a restaurant vouchers.
So don’t be shy on Monday. Get your tuner finger ready to bid for a cause!
