Adorable is about to have a new face—and it could be that fluffy ball of precious that lives in your house or yard and allows you to feed it.
Don’t keep them from the glory that they deserve; let the competition begin. The Cutest Pets contest is is going on as we speak in all of Macon County. Check out the submissions already online vying for votes: could the winner be Josie - Dinosaur Dog? Could it be Toby, the 9-year-old fun loving dog who reads the Times in his free time? Could it be Sophie Coulter the Teacup Yorkie or McKenzie the Sheltie sheepdog?
Submissions began on August 17 and will go on through September 30. Voting begins on September 17 and runs on until September 30—so you will be able to get your pet into the running all the way through the last day of the contest.
So whether you have a cuddling cat, dashing dog, prancing pig, beautiful bird, furry ferret , or a pet with a face only a mother could love, we would love to see it.
All submissions must be entered online! Just visit maconcountytimes.com and click on the Cutest Pets icon to the right on the home page. Then click the Submissions header, fill in the information, upload a photo, and wait for the votes to come rolling in (telling friends and family about it doesn’t hurt, either).
The winner of this contest receives $100 from our sponsor, Therapeutic Optometrist of Complete Eye Care in the Lafayette Walmart shopping center. The grand prize winner will also have an appearance in our Oct. 4th edition of the Times.
