Knollwood Band is retiring after over 13 years of entertaining the residents at both Knollwood and The White House Assisted Living. Donald Gann, Frances Qualls, Fay Perrigo, Wardean Perdue, and Billy Perrigo were presented plaques of appreciation. The plaques expressed appreciation for their many years of bringing music and joy to the residents, with their monthly visits first to Knollwood and later to The White House.

The whole thing started when the band came together to play for the residents, later naming themselves the Knollwood Band as a tribute to Knollwood. Others have joined in along the way, including Hessie Kinslow, Bobby Kemp and Don Harper. These five have been coming since the beginning, and their dedication and volunteer spirit will be missed.
