Catherine (Creek) Gosnell, age 92, of Scottsville, KY, a resident of Cal Turner Extended Care passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2012 in Scottsville, KY. The Monroe County native was the daughter of the late Joe Asberry and Bettie (Brown) Creek. She married Thurmon D. Gosnell, who preceded her in death December 31, 1999. Other than her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brothers, Joe Hugh, Addis and William Glen Creek, sisters, Ruby Gumm Smith and Ella Marie Calvert. She was a homemaker, farm wife, and a member of the Fountain Run First Baptist Church. Funeral Services for Catherine (Creek) Gosnell were conducted on Thursday morning, June 21, 2012 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of the Fountain Run Funeral Home. Brother Ron Norrod officiated. Interment followed in the Union Cemetery in Barren County, KY. Kyle Johnson, Brian Johnson, Steven Frye, Jim Gosnell and Bill Brown served as pallbearers. Survivors include, sons, Donald Gosnell and wife Kathleen, James Gosnell and wife Kathy all of Adolphus, KY, 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
