Gaynell Mae Milburn, age 93, of the Lamb Community, Fountain Run, KY, a resident of Barren County Health Care passed away Monday, June 11, 2012 in Glasgow, KY. The Monroe County native was born February 7, 1919, one of two children born to the late W.B. and Velma (Samson) Johnson. She married Roy Milburn April 5, 1932 in Jeffersonville, IN who preceded her in death July 5, 1990. Other than her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brother, Emons Johnson. Gaynell was a very loving and hardworking lady.

She was a homemaker, helped work on the farm; she was very active in the Flippin Homemakers and Fountain Run Senior Citizen. She told her experience, was baptized and became a member at the New Design Missionary Baptist Church in 1932 and attended Antioch Missionary Baptist Church before she became ill. Funeral Services for Gaynell Mae Milburn were conducted on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Fountain Run Funeral Home. William B. Bunch and Joey R. Bunch officiated. Interment followed in the Union Cemetery in Barren County, KY. Garner Pare, Richard Francis, Tim Wheeler, Keith Light, Kevin Dyer and Mike Malone served as pallbearers.

Survivors include her son, Roger Milburn of Fountain Run and his special friend Jean Pursley of Glasgow, granddaughter, Dana Brown and husband Tony, great-grandson, Jacob Brown of the Lamb Community, sister-in-law, Audrey Johnson, nephew, Mike Johnson and his wife Sandy of all Fountain Run, special cousins, Ann, Tim and Carol and several other cousins. The family requests memorials made to the Union or Neal Cemetery.
