Loretta McCloud Bray, age 72, of Red Boiling Springs, TN passed away Tuesday afternoon, June 5, 2012 at the Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville, KY. Funeral Services for Loretta McCloud Bray were conducted Thursday afternoon, June 7, 2012, at 2 p.m. from the Anderson & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Red Boiling Springs with Jimmy Cook officiating. Interment followed in the Smith Chapel Cemetery. Her pallbearers were Steve Massengille, Kevin Massengille, Larry Copas, David Porter, Randy Davis and Kelvin Davis.
Mrs. Loretta was born September 24, 1939 in Sumner County, TN, one of nine siblings to the late Charles and Loisie Halliburton McCloud. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Colleen McCloud and a brother, Tony McCloud.
On October 18, 1958, she married Reed R. Bray, who survives. Together with Reed, they owned and operated the former Bray’s Grocery, Hardware & Feed for 18 years and numerous other businesses. She was also a garment worker and homemaker. Currently she and her husband were owners of Bray’s 585 Metal Roofing Supplies, Bray’s Market & Family Restaurant, Bray & Sons Service Station and Reed Bray Lumber & Pallet Co., Inc.
Survivors besides her husband, Reed of 53 years, include: daughters and sons-in-law, Regena and Dwight Copas, Vickie and Gary Hudson of Red Boiling Springs, Tammy and Tommy Stevenson, of Fayetteville, sons Randall Bray and Tyson Bray, of Red Boiling Springs, grandchildren, Garrett (Stephanie) Hudson, Bradley (Courtney) Bray, Kaylie Copas all of Red Boiling Springs, Tanner Stevenson, Tate Stevenson, of Fayetteville, great-granddaughter, Rylee Bray of Red Boiling Springs, sisters Melba Davis, Barbara Andrews both of Lafayette, Marlene (Connie) Pritchett of Washington, brothers, Gene (Dorothy) McCloud, Harold (Marlene) McCloud, and Glen (Janet) McCloud all of Washington.
