Shirley May Brooks-Boles, 74, of Indianapolis, passed away May 19, 2012. She is the daughter of the late Herman and Edith Brooks. She was born in Barren County Kentucky on April 14, 1938.

She is survived by her husband, Vester Boles, one sister, Juanita Hire (Lewis) of Bowling Green, Kentucky, one brother Orval Brooks (Becky) of Glasgow, Kentucky, three half sisters, Jane Hatfield (Randy), Kristie Proffitt (Jimmy) of Kentucky, Janet Coffee (Johnny) of Tennessee. Two half brothers, Tony Brooks (Tracy) and Jason Brooks of Tennessee, five nephews, three nieces and several half nephews and nieces along with a host of other family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter and one sister.

Shirley was of the Baptist faith.

Funeral service for Shirley May Brooks-Boles was held Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 11:30 AM at G.H. Herrmann Funeral Home Madison location, 5141 Madison Avenue Indianapolis, IN 46227.
