George Kelley of Lafayette was killed on Sunday when his truck ran off the road and flipped twice. The 1998 Chevy pickup was north bound on Hwy 10 when it veered off the right side and traveled 40 feet before rolling twice and coming to a rest on its wheels. The crash occured on the hill close to where Hwy 10 meets Hwy 25, one of the most dangerous areas of highway in Macon County.
The accident occurred around noon; Kelley received serious head injuries and died the same day. There is no evidence that drugs or alcohol were involved, and seatbelt use is unknown.
