Friday afternoon the Tigers travelled to Red Bolling Springs for their third away game of the week. The Tigers came out hot putting their first six batters on base, and scoring four on five hits and an error. The second inning added ten more runs on ten hits by Macon County, including a two run home run from senior Andrew Kempf. The Tigers defense tightened the clamps on the Bull Dogs behind solid pitching from Hunter Williams, who held Red Bolling to no runs on one hit, and collected six strike outs with just two walks in his three innings of work.

The Tigers (11-12, 2 -6),took care of business by beating the Bull Dogs by a final score of 17 - 0. Austin Taft was 2 for 3, with a walk, two runs scored and one rbi. Austin Craighead was perfect at 4 for 4, with five rbi’s and three runs scored. Ian Whittemore went one for three, with a walk, two rbi’s and two runs. Andrew Kempf was 2 for 4, adding another homerun, three rbi’s and three runs scored. Designated hitter Shane Hesson batted 2 for 3, with a run batted in, and first baseman Ryan Craighead was 3 for 3, with three rbi’s and a run scored. Jacob McClard was hit by a pitch, batted 2 for 2, and scored two runs with a rbi. The Tigers finished their week 1 - 3, and look forward to a district match up with Greenbrier on Monday 4/23 at Macon County and Tuesday 4/24 at Greenbrier.
