Funeral services for Olyne Velma Davis, age 91, were conducted Monday, December 8, 2008 in the Chapel of Upton Funeral Home with Marion Winningham officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Mitchell Anderson, Tony Davis, Jacob Bryson, Chip Bryson, Jonathan Bryson, and Buddy Neely.

Olyne Velma Davis passed away Friday, December 5, 2008 at the Overton County Nursing Home in Livingston, Tennessee. She was born November 18, 1917 in Celina, Tennessee to the late Bedford Bowman and Sallie (Dailey) Bowman.

Olyne Velma Davis was a retired Horse Creek Dock maid and was affiliated with the Church of Christ.

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her brothers: Fred, Ray, Waymon, & Beecham Bowman, and sister, Jewell Hesson.

Survivors include: Sons and Daughters-in-law: James & Sue Davis of Hilham, TN, and Earl & Jeanie Davis of Readyville, TN; Daughters and son-in-law: Martha & Mitchell Anderson of Baxter, TN, and Peggy Ann Davis of Celina, TN; Sisters: Beatrice Barrett of Murfreesboro, TN and Savannah Morgan; six grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
