On Saturday November 1, we had our 8th annual Area Tournament as our 6th grade Blue team went 2-0 and shared the area championship with Trousdale County. We had wins over Westmoreland's 6th grade White team 34-0 and over Westmoreland's 6th grade Red team 16-0.

We also had two 9 & 10 year old teams with Barry Shrum coaching the White team and Nathan Grace coaching the Blue team and they went 4-0 as they defeated teams from Portland and Westmoreland.

The 6th grade Area tournament will be held in Trousdale County next year. I only have this picture of the 6th grade Blue team and I want to apologize for not having any of the 9 & 10 year old teams.

Also all of our younger division teams will be participating in a preseason jamboree in Portland and our older division teams will be playing in a preseason jamboree in Westmoreland. These will be scheduled after our local high school jamboree next season.

I want to announce our awards day for our league. This will be held this Saturday November 22 at Central Elementary School with the 6-8 division cheerleading and football being at 9:00 and the 9-12 division being at 11:00.

Any child that completed the season with their team or squad will be eligible for their trophy for their hard work and dedication. As the Commissioner for this past year and also for the upcoming season, I want to thank all the parents that have allowed their child to play or cheer in our league this year.

We hope that they have learned something about the sport of football or the spirit of cheerleading that they can carry with them and use for the remainder of their life.

We had over 80 active coaches in our league this year and I also want to thank them for their hard work and for volunteering their time to work with every child in this league.

The Lion's Bowl was once again successful and I want to thank their club for putting on this game. I am proud that we are able to help their club to raise money for our community.

We also want to thank the sorority, Epsilon Chi, for doing our concession stand throughout the regular season. This group is made up of a lot of teachers from our community and they use our league to help raise money for scholarships for our local high school students.

I also want to thank the MCHS cheerleaders for doing our concession stand during our bowl games. I want to thank my buddy, Cheesy, for setting the field up and for cleaning up after them along with Frank Nardick for helping him with the clean-up.

I also want to thank Nick Willson and Alex Bilbrey for working the gate this year and doing a wonderful job and also for helping to announce. I want to thank Darrel Robertson for painting the football field this year and helping our league out.

I also want to thank Duane and Julie Willson and their daughter Sandy, for all their work getting the concession stand ready each time and everything they have done for our league.

I want to thank my wife Mchelle for doing the scoreboard and music and all the paper work for the league and my son Jeremy for doing the announcing of the games.

I also want to thank each of my officers for helping do the things that kept our league running smooth with these including Barry and Connie Shrum, Kris Boone, Gene Carman III, Jason Marsh and Angie Brown and to everybody else who helped our league in any way.

A special thanks goes to Coach Daniel Cook and Coach Nathan Wilson for helping to support our league and to the Director of Schools, Darrell Law, and each of the School Board Members for allowing us to use school property for our league.
