Last Monday & Tuesday we had our 3rd annual Jr Industrial Bowl as all 4 of our younger division teams played some outside teams. On Monday night, the Little Titans defeated Clay Co. 24-8. For the Titans, Jordan Presley had 80 yards and 1 TD; Jared Whitefield had 75 yards, 1 TD and 3 tackles; Cameron Rankins had 36 yards; Soy Hernandez had 31 yards, 1 TD & a 2-point conversion; Austin Smith had 12 yards and 2 2-point conversions and Malaki Loggins had 3 tackles. The 2nd game of the night had our 5 & 6 year old Blue and White game with the Blue team winning 32-26.

Then on Tuesday night, in the 1st game the Little Vols were defeated by Portland 18-0. The 2nd game had the Bucs winning over the Hartsville 6 & 7 year old team 28-8. For the Bucs, Carson Brawner had 120 yards, 1 TD, 1 2-point conversion and 4 tackles; Spencer Hogin had 90 yards, 1 TD and 3 tackles; Noah Likens had 65 yards, 2 TD's, 1 2-point conversion and 3 tackles; and Chase Whittemore had 4 tackles. The 3rd game had the Tigers being defeated by the Hartsville 8 & 9 year old team 16-12.

Then this past Saturday we hosted our 8th annual Area Bowl with our 9 & 10 year olds and 5th and 6th grade Blue Team playing outside teams. Our league swept the tournament as we went 6-0 in our games. This is our league's 5th championship over the past 8 years. There is a lot of talent and good athletes that will be going up into our Junior High program next year but we will also have a lot that will be returning to our league with our 9 & 10's. I look forward to watching all these young men over the next several years and expect great things out of them.

In the 1st game of the day our 9 & 10 year White team defeated Portland White 20-6. For Macon County, Matt Austin had 103 yards and 1 TD; Cayden Shrum had 59 yards and 1 TD; Bailey Anderson had 21 yards receiving and 1 TD; Evan Perrigo had 7 tackles and Simon Freeman had 3 tackles.

The 2nd game had Trousdale Co. winning over Westmoreland Red 32-14 in a 5th & 6th grade game. The 3rd game had our 9 & 10 year old Blue team defeating Portland Purple 14-6. For Macon County, Gene Carman IV had 136 yards, 1 TD and 6 tackles; Logan Grace had 44 yards, 1 TD, 1 passing conversion and 4 tackles; Clay Carnahan and Tanner Lowhorn had 4 tackles each and Tyler Swindle had 6 tackles. The 4th game had Macon Co's 5th & 6th grade team winning over Westmoreland White 34-0.

For Macon County, Dale Turner had 178 yards and 3 TD's; Corey Crawford had 89 yards and 1 TD; Jesse Gregory had 40 yards, 1 TD and 2 2-point conversions; Kole Cliburn had 28 yards; Brett Davis had 14 tackles with 2 sacks; Hunter Anderson had 9 tackles; Kristopher Boone and Kole Cliburn had 5 tackles each and Brandon Noles had 3 tackles.

The 5th game had our 9 & 10 year old Blue team beating Westmoreland 40-0. For Macon County, Gene Carman IV had 72 yards; Tanner Lowhorn had 40 yards and 1 TD; Logan Grace had 20 yards, 1 TD; 1 rushing 2-point conversion and 1 passing 2-point conversion; Clay Carnahan had 30 yards, 1 TD and 1 receiving 2-point conversion; Taylor Carman had 10 yards and 1 TD; Hayden Hauskins had 5 yards and 1 2-point conversion; Austin Wilkerson had 25 yards and 1 TD; Chris Mickle had 12 yards and 1 TD; Homer Tirjan had 5 yards and 1 2-point conversion; Tyler Swindle had 7 tackles and Isaac Grant had 4 tackles.

The 6th game had Trousdale Co. winning over Westmoreland White 20-0. The 7th game had our 9 & 10 year old White team defeating Portland Purple 20-6. For Macon County, Cayden Shrum had 97 yards and 2 TD's; Matt Austin had 66 yards, a 2-point conversion and 4 tackles; Austin Shelton had 9 yards and 1 TD; Chase Dallas had 7 tackles; Trace McPherson had 5 tackles; Evan Perrigo and Sawyer Baughn had 4 tackles each; and Jeffrey Nelson, Jason Sewell and Simon Freeman had 3 tackles each. The 8th and final game of the day had Macon County's 5th and 6th grade team defeating Westmoreland Red 16-0. For Macon County, Dale Turner had 157 yards, 2 TD's and 6 tackles; Corey Crawford had 28 yards and 5 tackles; John Christian had 28 yards; Kole Cliburn had 18 yards; Brandon Graves had 25 yards and 5 tackles; Cole Dixon had 10 yards; Jesse Gregory had 2 2-point conversions; Hunter Anderson had 13 tackles with 1 sack and Brett Davis had 11 tackles and 1 sack.

Members of the 9 & 10 year old Blue team were Taylor Carman, Hayden Hauskins, Logan Grace, Clay Carnahan, Austin Wilkerson, Homer Tirjan, Tanner Lowhorn, Gene Carman IV, Chris Mickle, Dalton York, Isaac Grant, Nathan Kemp, Hunter Crowson, Ryan Crowson, Tyler Swindle and Bill Vinson.

Members of the 9 & 10 year old White team were Austin Shelton, Tanner Cleary, Aaron Reece, Elijah Byfield, Terry Woodard, Hunter Bolton, Shaun Goodall, Matt Austin, Jason Sewell, Jeff Nelson, Jed Coley, Sawyer Baughn, Trace McPherson, Chase Dallas, Cayden Shrum, Simon Freeman, Evan Perrigo, Gage Gregory, Mason Hewitt and Isreal Ward.

Members of the 5th and 6th grade Blue team were Quinton Goad, Brandon Graves, Jesse Gregory, Andrew Reagan, Cole Dixon, Kole Cliburn, Kristopher Boone, John Christian, Daniel Holland, Dale Turner, Brandon Noles, Corey Crawford, Dustin Blanford, Damian Elliott, Travis Eller, Nathan Williams, Zach Roddy, Terry Daniel, Zach Austin, Hunter Anderson, Nick Owen, Jaccob Tirjan, Jonathan Jones and Brett Davis.

I would like to take this time to thank all of our parents for allowing your child to play in our league this year and to let them know that we are really excited about seeing them again next year. I also want to thank the Hartsville Youth Football League, Portland Youth Football League and Westmoreland Youth Football League for coming up and participating in our bowl once again this year.
