On Tuesday, October 13, RBS playedMonterey, 2 out of 3, RBS won. Monterey was the team that RBS had to beat to get into the semi-finals.
Both teams played well, but with a combined total of 48 kills, the Bulldogs offense was able to make a difference. The cumulative stats were: Crystal Allison: 11 kills, 4 aces, 8 digs, 3 blocks; Jaclyn Jordan: 19 kills, 4 aces, 6 digs, 3 blocks; Jenna Lanford: 5 kills, 1 ace, 7 digs, 1 block; Bethany Patch: 4 kills, 1 dig; Ciara Green: 4 kills, 16 assists, 4 aces, 13 digs; Megan Patch: 5 kills, 22 assists, 3 aces, 15 digs, 3 blocks; and Sherena Swoner: 9 digs.
Then on Wednesday, October 15, RBS played Livingston Academy, 5 ouf of 5, RBS won. Livingston Academy was one of only three teams that beat RBS in regular season. In the first two games, they played very aggressively, and Bulldogs could not seem to get anything going. The last three games had a better result, but it was only because RBS was finally able to mount an offense that worked against a team that is very good defensively. The cumulative stats were: Crystal Allison: 22 kills, 12 aces, 15 digs, 3 blocks; Jaclyn Jordan: 24 kills, 2 aces, 15 digs, 5 blocks; Jenna Lanford: 1 kill, 2 aces, 19 digs; Bethany Patch: 4 kills, 2 aces, 15 digs, 1 block; Ciara Green: 3 kills, 17 assists, 5 aces, 17 digs; Megan Patch: 4 kills, 36 assists, 1 ace, 23 digs, 2 blocks; and Sherena Swoner: 2 aces, 9 digs.
On Wednesday, October 15, RBS played Jackson County, 4 out of 5, Jackson won. Jackson County played a phenomenal game in the final round of the tournament. They hit hard, and they played a very aggressivegame throughout. While it wasn't the best game that RBS we have played, the Bulldogs did play well defensively. They just couldn't seem to mount an effective offense. In any case, the Buulldogs we are headed to Greenbrier next week to play in the regional tournament.

Coach Butler would also like to congratulate Macon County High School's second place finish in their district. It's pretty cool that both teams from Macon county have the opportunity to continue to play in the post season.
