A man armed with a large butcher knife left the Marathon Express Lane service station Saturday after Jordan White, the lone clerk in the store, declined to "hand over all the money!" and instead ran and jumped out of the store through the drive-up window.

Apparently bewildered by the disappearance of the clerk, and unable to open the cash register, the robbery suspect fled.

Police were called at about 2:15 Saturday afternoon and quickly responded to the scene. A house to house, business by business search was conducted with officers looking for an older man, age 55-60, 6' 1" and "about the size of Bennie (Hudgens)," wearing a red flannel shirt and tan pants.

The clerk told police the man had entered the store with what appeared to be a nylon stocking over his head.

Police are still looking for the felon, who apparently left without taking anything but his own ineptitude and disappointment from the store.
