Tuesday, September 23, 2008, RBS played Clay County, 2 out of 3, RBS won.

Clay County has been giving everyone in the district fits. Before the RBS match, they had played Jackson and played them well. Both games of the match were pretty tight. The Bulldogs were glad that they were able to win against them, but the coach don't think they played them as tough as they did Jackson.

Cumulative Stats were: Crystal Allison: 1 kill, 9 aces, 2 digs; Jaclyn Jordan: 9 kills, 4 aces, 2 digs, 1 block; Jenna Lanford: 2 kills, 1 ace Ciara Green: 3 kills, 8 assists, 3 aces, 1 dig; Megan Patch: 1 kill, 4 assists, 2 aces, 5 digs.

Tuesday, September 23, 2008, RBS played Jackson County, 3 out of 3, Jackson County won. RBS played extremely well the first game, and they were ahead in the second game 18 to 14 when things fell apart. Jackson changed their strategy, and RBS simply could not adapt. At one point in game 3, RBS were down 11 to 3, and they just gave those points away.

The coach thought that they were ready for this game, and at first it appeared that they were. He didn't anticipate the strategy that Jackson used to beat them, though, so they had not practiced for that. The saddest part is that this loss pretty much guarantees that RBS cannot go into district tournament as the number 1 team. The Bulldogs have been working hard since this loss, and the coach hopes that they have worked through the problems that made them play so poorly. RBS have a very talented team, they just have to remember that when they face tough competition.

Cumulative Stats were: Crystal Allison: 4 kills, 1 ace, 5 digs, 3 blocks; Jaclyn Jordan: 13 kills, 8 digs, 5 blocks; Jenna Lanford: 11 kills, 5 digs, 2 blocks; Bethany Patch: 2 digs; Ciara Green: 4 kills, 7 assists, 1 ace, 9 digs; Megan Patch: 1 kill, 15 assists, 15 digs; Sherena Swoner: 21 digs
