Monday, September 8, RBS Volleyball played Clarkrange, 2 out of 3, RBS won. This is the first year that Clarkrange has had a team in several years. Their positioning looks good, and they have a good attitude. RBS served exceptionally well, and really, that's what won the game. Ciara served especially well with 10 aces. That's phenomenal. The cummulative stats were: Crystal Allison: 5 kills, 7 aces; Jaclyn Jordan: 6 kills, 5 aces; Jenna Lanford: 1 kill, 8 aces; Bethany Patch: 2 kills, 1 ace; Ciara Green: 2 kills, 10 aces; Megan Patch: 15 assists.

On Thursday, September 11, RBS played Smith Co., 2 out of 3, RBS won. After their disastrous performance last week against Gordonsville, RBS needed a win against a tough competitor to get their confidence back. Carthage has a first-rate team, and they played well. Luckily, Jaclyn and Crystal blocked really well from the middle, and Jenna and Bethany came in with some crucial kills. Hopefully, they are back on track. The cummulative stats were: Crystal Allison: 7 kills, 4 aces, 4 digs, 3 blocks; Jaclyn Jordan: 6 kills, 1 assist, 2 aces, 5 digs, 7 blocks; Jenna Lanford: 2 kills, 1 ace, 1 dig, 1 blocks; Bethany Patch: 3 kills, 1 ace, 1 dig, 3 blocks; Ciara Green: 3 kills, 1 assist, 3 aces, 4 digs; Megan Patch: 19 assists, 1 ace, 8 digs, 1 block; Sherena Swoner: 7 digs.

Thursday, September 11, RBS played Cannon Co., 2 out of 3, RBS won. In this game, they had a combined total of 29 kills in two games. That's their highest average all year. They couldn't have done it without some excellent setting from Megan with 25 assists and Ciara with six assists. Defensively, thye also played extremely well with only 14 ball-handling errors the entire match. The cummulative stats were: Crystal Allison: 5 kills, 4 aces, 1 dig, 2 blocks; Jaclyn Jordan: 10 kills, 1 dig; Jenna Lanford: 5 kills, 3 digs, 1 block; Bethany Patch: 3 kills, 3 aces, 3 digs Ciara Green: 6 kills, 2 assists, 1 ace, 6 digs; Megan Patch: 25 assists, 2 aces, 6 digs, 3 blocks.

The Junior Varsity played on Monday, September 08, RBS JV played Monterey JV, 2 out of 3, RBS JV won. This was their first official high school game, and they played great. They work as hard in practice every day as the junior and senior players, Good job, ladies.

The cummulative stats were: Leah Whittemore: 7 kills; Kesha Davis:1 kill, 1 ace; Kallima Bean:1 kill, 2 aces; Kristin Davis: 11 aces; Hannah Peek: 1 kill, 1 assist; Carly Hix: 5 aces; Faith Asberry: 1 kill, 8 assists, 10 aces.
