“It's kind of overwhelming for the ones who bake the cookies,” said Principal Dawn Thompson, adding that more than 900 cookies were baked and served to the more than 400 grandparents in attendance.
Individual classroom teachers planned different events for the occasion, said Thompson; but whatever they were up to, the grandparents and students both loved it so much that another such event will most likely be planned for next year.
