Lola Mae Morris, 85, of Adolphus died at 6 p.m. September 9, 2008, at her residence. The Adolphus native was a homemaker and a member of Maple Grove General Baptist Church. She was a lifetime member of D.A.V. Women's Auxiliary. She was a daughter of the late Henry Martin McGuffey and Minnie Ann Margaret Sullivan McGuffey and the wife of the late Carline “Tip” Morris.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Hubert Delton McGuffey, Lester McGuffey, Wade McGuffey and Ray McGuffey and a son-in-law, Earl Wolf.

Survivors include three daughters, Mary Wolf and Jeannetta Alsdorf and her husband, Kevin, all of Adolphus, and Barbara Bowers and her husband, Tom, of Hendersonville, Tenn.; two sisters-in-law, Neoma McGuffey of Florida and Agnes Dies of Lafayette, Tenn.; and six grandchildren, Angela Wolf, Carly Howard and Brian, Kelly, Erin and Brena Alsdorf.

Funeral services for Lola Mae Morris were held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 12, 2008 at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Garrison officiating. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery.
