Charlie F. Hall, 40, Statesville Road, Watertown TN died in a one vehicle crash on Hwy. 141 (the Green Grove Road) in southwestern Macon County at about 5:30 p.m. on Monday afternoon, September 15, according to a Tennessee Highway Patrol Vehicle Fatality Report released this Tuesday morning.

Criminal charges of vehicular homicide were filed against the driver, Justin M. Anderson, 27, Shawmet Street, Springfield, Mass. The THP report stated that both drugs and alcohol were involved and blood tests were required. Anderson was not seriously injured and was taken to the Macon County Justice Center where he remains at press time.

THP Trooper Danny Fisher's report states that a 1989 GMC pickup driven by Anderson was traveling south on Hwy. 141, and while negotiating a curve failed to maintain his lane of travel, over corrected to the right side traveling off the roadway and struck a tree. The pickup overturned on the driver's side, coming to a rest against a second tree.

Neither man was wearing a seat belt, and the late Charlie Hall was pinned in the vehicle until rescue workers arrived and removed him.

Anderson, the driver, was ejected from the vehicle. He was transported to Sumner Regional Medical Center where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries and released to the custody of law enforcement authorities.

The “news” week for personal injury accidents began on last Wednesday morning, September 10 when Sheila Taylor, Red Boiling Springs struck a tractor trailer rig when her Ford Taurus crossed the center line as she was traveling east on Hwy. 52 near the Macon Monument facility.

Ms. Taylor sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries to her legs and lower torso, and was charged by investigating THP Trooper Neil Fersuson with driving left of center, no proof of insurance and driver license address change law.

The tractor trailer rig was driven by Christopher Williamson, Bono, AK. He was not injured in the incident, which delayed school traffic for a considerable time Wednesday morning.

At about 12:30 p.m. Friday a two vehicle collision in front of the Farm Bureau office on the Scottsville Road sent both drivers to Macon County General Hospital for treatment and heavily damaged both vehicles.

The official LPD accident report was not available, but LFD personal who responded to the scene made an official run... report with the following vehicle and driver information: James J. Jenkins (J.J.), 282 Mary's Lane, Westmoreland was driving a white 2006 Chevy Impala, and collided with a 2004 white Nissan Maxima driven by Brandi Brazle, 1662 Gladys Hwy., Whitleyville, TN. Charges and a police report of the incident were not available.

Then on this Tuesday morning two juveniles were transported from a one vehicle accident on the Dotson Road near Antioch. A red Chevy Blazer struck a tree in the front yard of an abandoned residence. The incident was investigated by THP Trooper Danny Fisher, but no official report was available. The vehicle was apparently traveling away from the Galen Road intersection with Dotson Road when the driver lost control and crashed.

The two juveniles were transported to Macon County General Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
