Again on Tuesday, September 2, RBS played Jackson Co., 2 out of 3, RBS won. Jackson County is a tough team. They have an outside hitter who is unstoppable. Crystal pulled out all the stops on this one, or they might have lost. With a hitting percent of 53 percent, she made a huge difference. On Thursday, September 4, RBS played Monterey, 2 out of 3, RBS won.
They were a little shaky in this one. Their passing wasn't as good as it has been, and, with the exception of Jaclyn, nobody hit very much. Their only real strength in this one was the serving, with a total of 19 aces. The Cumulative stats were: Crystal Allison: 3 kills, 11 aces, 2 digs, 1 assist; Jaclyn Jordan: 11 kills, 1 ace, 5 digs, 1 block; Jenna Lanford: 2 kills, 1 ace, 4 digs; Bethany Patch: 4 kills

Again on Thursday, September 04, RBS played Gordonsville, 2 out of 3, Gordonsville won the cumulative stats were: Crystal Allison: 4 kills, 3 digs; Jaclyn Jordan: 11 kills, 3 aces, 3 digs, 6 blocks; Jenna Lanford: 3 kills, 4 digs

It's kind of funny that Gordonsville was the only team to beat RBS in the regular season last year, and this year they have stopped their season-long winning streak. Gordonsville certainly outplayed them. Gordonsville made good hitting decisions and let nothing hit the ground. It's a wakeup call for RBS. The Bulldogs have had the mentality lately that they are simply going to win each time, and they have gotten a bit complacent. That will change. The coach has some plans for this coming week to help with the problems, and they will adjust as needed to be competitive in every game that they play. Congratulations to Brian Leslie, Gordonsville's coach, and his team for a well-played game. They were brilliant. “We will do our best to get a different result next time though”, said the coach.
