During the week of June 4th -7th, cheerleaders were working with twenty-three other squads from Florida, Alabama and Georgia.
The girls began on Wednesday night with a performance of the team choreographed “Home Pom” routine.
Their dance was deemed “one of the most creative” UCA instructors had seen, with hip hop, swing dancing and cheer style dance, all in the 1 minute 10 seconds routine. The girls performed each night in dance and cheer evaluations always receiving a superior rating.
On the final day they won a 2nd place trophy for their Extreme Routine performance and were also awarded a Superior Squad trophy and an invitation to the “Capital One Bowl” December 28, 2008 - January 2, 2009, in Orlando, Florida.
An additional invitation was extended to MCHS Varsity to attend and perform November 22 to November 28, 2008, in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York.
They would also like to congratulate their newly formed JV (Junior Varsity) squad and their coach Ms. Krystal Sallee on their accomplishments at Tenn Tech Cheer Camp on June 3-6, 2008.
Holly Doss and Kinsey Gregory, two seniors received UCA All Star awards, winning a medal and an invitation to perform in the New Years Day Parade in London, England.
