On Wednesday, May 28th, 2008 at 2:00 p.m., the Macon County Emergency Communication District Board of Directors will meet at the Macon County EMS Class Room for a Public Hearing on the 2008-2009 Fiscal Year Budget. This is located at 30 Weldon Drive in Lafayette, Tennessee. Immediately following this hearing will be a meeting of the Board of Directors to conduct business on the following agenda: 1. Discuss and/or take action on equipment expenditures; 2. Discuss and/or take action on the Fiscal Year 08-09 Budget; 3. Discuss and/or take action on Budget amendments for the 2007-2008 Fiscal Year Budget; 4. Review and/or modify the Director's contract.

Free Bluegrass Concert at Key Park
Macon County Arts Council presents Jesse McReynolds and The Virginia Boys with The Portland City Limits Bluegrass Band Sunday, June 1, at 2:00 p.m. at Key Park in Lafayette, Tennessee. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy a free concert.

A benefit basketball tournament will be held June 7th at the middle school beside the football field for Dustin Jones, who is 25 years old and has cancer. All proceeds will to his medical expenses.
