Funeral services for Ailene Strong, age 87, of Celina, Tennessee were conducted at 10 a.m., Friday, April 18, 2008 in the Chapel of Upton Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Fitzgerald Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Mark King, Jerry Strong, Daniel Strong, Joe Wayne King, Jerry Burnette, and Ryan Lacy.

Ailene Strong passed away Wednesday, April 15 at the Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, Tennessee.

Ailene Strong was born March 20, 1921 in Hestand, Kentucky to the late Wayne Roy and Clio (Ford) King.

Ailene was a homemaker and a member of the Celina Church of Christ.

Ailene was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe James Strong; son, Larry Strong; brother, Fred W. King; and sister, Olyne Upchurch.

Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Barbara Strong of Celina, Tennessee; daughter, Jo Ann Strong of Celina, Tennessee; brothers, Lois King of Chesterfield, Indiana, Clyde M. King of Celina, Tennessee, and J.D. King of Burkesville, Kentucky; sisters, Martha Lee Brown of Cookeville, Tennessee and Inell Hix of Rock Hill, South Carolina; 2 grandchildren, Ronnie and Shawn Burnette; 4 great-grandchildren, Haley, Hunter, Zack and Blade Burnette; and Special Friend, Maddie Cooper of Celina, Tennessee.
